So, today we went in to Bordeaux by bus AND tram along with about 1000 students – there’s a number of universities here….but first our unlikely meeting:
After setting up here we got to chatting with another brit couple that parked up just after us. Turns out Lorna and Andy (aka Fruit) knows Stephanie when her and a friend were camping/climbing in southeast Spain last year! How astonishing is that!
So to Bordeaux: public transport, ultra smooth and fully integrated. The tram dropped us of at the Central Hotel from which we wandered about taking in the city life. Coffee/chocolate in a café overlooking the river and people watching.
Later, we ate in a most delightful restaurant almost dead center in the city.
As of today (Friday we think) we are going to look out Cap Ferret – a spit of land not far from here and the promose of some free Aires de Camping.
