We got tickets to go to the Big Feastival near Stow-on-the-Wold

Stayed at Stow Rugby Club pop-up site for a couple of nights before relocating to the festival grounds.

We walked into Stow intending to have a spot of lunch. Wasted a considerable amount of time searching for a reasonably cost-effective hostelry but the money they were charging was higher than we were prepared to pay given that we’d be paying a king’s ransom for food and drink at the festival. So we opted for a custom-made baguette instead.

Up very early the next day to drive the three miles or so to the festival to synchronise our arrival with the gates opening…foiled again! Diversions took us on a 20 mile detour but still arrived at site without very much queuing.

Artistes we saw included: Scouting for Girls, Tom Walker, Eshann Akbar, Lou Sanders, Masterclass with Cotswolds Distillery, Oti Mabuse (Dance Class), Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Travis, Alex James and a visit to the Silent Disco .

It was a very busy few days with more takeaways and drink outlets than you could’ve shaken a stick at!
